Brazilian Grand Prix FP3
The Silver Arrows Re-join the party that Ferrari looked to be in control of as Max continues to split the top drivers and cars in the Brazilian Grand Prix FP3 session.
The Brazilian Grand FP3 session started a bit later for the top teams as Ferrari and Mercedes went for qualifying sims deeper into the session. What their stints in the short hour long session showed was that this is going to be a game of sectors on this short track. Verstappen was denied leading the sector by merely +o.o26 seconds. He was propelled to a strong P2 on the back of a mighty sector 2 performance. The sector 3 advantage remains in the hands of the Ferrari who you would suspect has more engine modes to turn on after the Brazilian GP FP2 session held yesterday.
The usual suspects round out the top 5 with Valtteri Bottas in a distant P6 trailing the sister arrow of Hamilton by nearly a second. Speaking of teammates struggling to match their rival twin car, Alex Albon after doing a nice job recovering from his FP1 shunt, continues to trail Max Verstappen. Whether his confidence is still suffering from the early incident or Max is just on a mission from what happened at the 2018 Brazilian Grand Prix, he’ll need to find the pace wherever he can.

FUN BRAZIL GP FACT: Lewis Hamilton has only ever led FP3 on 3 occasions the entire 2019 Formula 1 schedule. On those occasions, never has he ended up earning a pole position.
