An Honest Take On The 2019 Italian GP Qualifying Mess

There’s seems to be this narrative that it’s all Hulk’s fault or we need to change the F1 qualifying rules. I am not sure why they’d like considering the audio is widely public. The drivers KNEW what was going on. All of the top five could have intervened and chose not to.

Now this may not be news to you but to some, you’ll go with whatever the drivers say. I think there’s a reason Vettel in particular was quiet about this – his on-board is the most telling as is Carlos Saintz camera.

While many are familiar with these sorts of antics, many casual F1 fans are not and coverage was skewing towards the driver’s being confused. Once You’ve completed this video, I am certain you’ll see it was all just 3D chess and frankly… Leclerc came out victorious. While it’s not good to see from the F1 perspective and in good spirit of competitive racing for the fans, it’s still the quality a champion must possess. Champions before him certainly understand the tactic.
