Naoki-San Ahead Of His FP1 Session With Toro Rosso
Naoki Yamamoto A Silent Favorite
The last time we saw a Japanese driver in a Formula One Cockpit was Kamui Kobayashi but what was way back in 2014. One Japanese hopeful is although Nobuharu Matsushita. The Honda supported driver sites sixth in the F2 championship of the the Japanese Grand Prix.
Naoki Yamamoto would need to have the session of his life to be in real contention unless he makes yet another showing in the last 4 races should he underperform. With a tropical storm approaching the Suzuka circuit that are sure to make driving conditions tough, with it comes a wave of expectation, pressure, and hope for the 31 year old Super Formula reigning champion. Don’t be surprised if we hear his name again soon surrounding Honda and the F1 grid.
