Prancing horses usurp the dominant silver arrows and ruin their blemish free weekend as Vettel returns to old form and takes pole following by Charles Leclerc For A Ferrari Scuderia Front Row Lock Out.  

The qualifying session started off in a red session with Robert Kubica going into the wall on very first out lap. A gusty Suzuka circuit caught out not only the Williams driver, but also Kevin Magnussen crashing into the finish line wall. A very strong tail wind was disrupting the cars from 130R all the way to turn 1. KMags shunt happened just minutes later and threw the entire session off. That made for 2 red flags in in less than 8 minutes.

My Miracle at Maranello video math still holds true! Ferrari need to go 1-2 here and honestly, they look like they will easily. Red Bulls don’t look terribly strong but Alex Albon did match Verstappen today in qualifying which is a very good sign – or a bad one for Max. Looking at sector times, no real errors slowed him though I’m crossing the “good news” box for the sake of Albon’s speed.

It continues to be the Renault week from hell as Nico Hulkenberg has a hydraulic issue and is told under no circumstances to not change gears and just limp in.

Looking at the midfield, this is going to be an action packed battle for best of the rest full or errors are Suzuki brought its A-game. Better hope the drivers used the few hours after Qualifying to get their mind right.
