Esteban Ocon 2020 season kicks off with Renault F1 post-season testing at Yas Marina first week of December.
Esteban Ocon 2020 season begins with Renault F1 officially on December 2, 2019 as his shiny new contract kicks off after a year-long absence from Formula 1. He will report for duty in order to get the French manufacturer ready for the F1 2020 season. Renault F1 is scheduled to commence post-season testing taking place at the Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi on December 3th – 4th. to prepare for the ever important Formula 1 winter testing period held this year in Barcelona.
The Pirelli tyre test at Yas Marina is critical for Pirelli to get extensive data. Their last test conducted at the United States Grand Prix concluded with many of the drivers giving poor feedback on the handling of the tyre and ability to get to get to the proper temperature. Much of the advantage the Formula 1 drivers experience in handling is their car’s setup and it’s ability to get the tyre to the proper temperature. Esteban Ocon has been done extensive testing for Mercedes so the feedback given by him will be paramount to their car’s development for the 2020 season.
Esteban Ocon 2020 At The Expense Of Hulkenberg
Despite it being a win for the French driver, Esteban Ocon 2020 season comes at the expense of Nico Hulkenberg who is left without a drive in Formula 1. Ocon has been retained under contract until the end of 2021 and will drive next to former Red Bull F1 Daniel Ricciardo. The Renault F1 lineup is likely to be a very interesting dynamic and tough inter-team battle as Ocon has been known to clash with teammates.
Hulkenberg having been unable to secure a 2020 spot on the Formula 1 grid will have another shot when the 2021 season begins as there is expected to be a major shuffle in lineups with the 2021 Formula 1 regulations kicking in.
